Thanks to San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors for consent of the Avila Beach Bird Sanctuary Project proposal. Pictured is Shirley Goetz, Founder of the Avila Beach Bird Sanctuary and long time Avila Beach resident, with the Official Resolution: 13-293.

"Avila Beach is located along the Pacific Flyway, which is the path numerous migratory birds use during their journey to and from South America to North America. Avila's fresh water stream micro estuary and salt water coastline provide a perfect place to eat and rest before continuing on their journey." said Ms. Goetz
